Question by Dark Angel-16: what type of inhaler for asthma are out there?
I’m doing a project about Asthma and I was just wondering what type of asthma inhalers are out there? And what do those types of inhalers treat? all I have found so far was advair.
Please help I have to turn it in Friday!

well there is albuterol which is probably the most popular one. its also called ventolin and proventil http://www.medicinenet.com/albuterol/article.htm its a bronchodialtor which opens up the airways to allows more oxygen in. it leaves you feeling shaky and increases the heart rate
then there is atrovent. http://www.webmd.com/drugs/mono-5222-IPRATROPIUM+-+INHALATION+SOLUTION.aspx?drugid=3702&drugname=Atrovent+Inhl with this one people tend to bring up a lot of secrestions as it helps to loosen secretions
